Hospice given cash boost through INS’s community funding panel
A £500 donation by International Nuclear Services to a Warrington hospice will help residents with life-limiting conditions.
Staff at St Rocco’s, in Bewsey, will put the money towards patient care, including physiotherapy, family support and mindfulness sessions for carers.
Toni Mullen, QA Controller, nominated the hospice for the cash boost through INS’s community funding panel.
She said the care St Rocco’s gave to her mum 20 years ago was the reason she put the hospice forward, and added: “In the six weeks mum was at St Rocco’s, she was made to feel ‘normal’. The care was fantastic.”
Toni handed the £500 cheque to Billy Welsby, who said: “Thank you to INS for this amazing donation. It means the world to us and will go towards patient care at St Rocco’s.”
St Rocco’s Hospice provides care to those from the Warrington area; supporting them physically, mentally and emotionally.
