INS lends its support to Barrow Foodbank

INS was delighted to be able help the Barrow Foodbank again by donating a desktop laser printer to the charity this week.

The Foodbank, which opened in 2012 and is based on Abbey Road close to the INS Marine Terminal, has benefited from support from INS several times in the last few years.

Barrow Foodbank Manager, Ann Mills, said “As a small organisation, we do all our own printing and in the first ten months of the financial year, we were up by 47% on the number of people we fed.  The increased numbers has also meant that our desktop printing, has risen significantly.  We are very grateful to INS for once again giving us support”.

INS Marine Terminal Manager, Rob Wood, who presented the printer said “We are very pleased to be able to help the Foodbank purchase something that assists the great work they do.  Having been a part of the Barrow community for over 40 years we are very keen to offer our support where we can”.
