International Nuclear Services has extensive and proven expertise in irradiated fuel management and nuclear material transportation. This expertise enables us to offer a wide range of specialist services to our customers.
We have the capability to offer our customers a range of consultancy services, strategic assessments and feasibility studies on irradiated fuel management. We also advise utility customers and government agencies on their strategic and technical options relating to the back end of the fuel cycle.
International Nuclear Services has significant experience of package selection, design, engineering, licensing and operations. We provide a complete range of flask services that meet the appropriate regulations and our customers’ requirements.
We have developed and maintained multi-mode (rail, road, sea) transport routes around the world and understand what is required to develop and maintain new routes for nuclear material transports.
In addition to managing a fleet of ships, we also manage the design, procurement and project management of new INF 3 class ships and have recently taken delivery of the Pacific Heron, which is a new addition to the PNTL fleet. We have also placed contracts for two further ships, which are planned to be delivered in 2010 and 2011.
Through our extensive experience of transporting nuclear materials worldwide, we have worked with many international governments, regulators and other international agencies, and we pride ourselves in working closely with stakeholders along our routes. We perform comprehensive stakeholder engagement and public relations activities relating to our transport operations.
