International Nuclear Services Deutschland
Staffed by John Mulkern and Rebecca Iven (see photo), the INS Deutschland office is one of the overseas offices working on behalf of INS. The office, which was originally based in Frankfurt, relocated in 1999 to Düsseldorf, a central point for INS's Continental European Customers.
With responsibilities for Continental European Customer Relationships covering Customers in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and Spain, the Düsseldorf team work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Reprocessing, MOX and Transport Product teams at Risley/Sellafield with the aim of supporting INS in achieving its overall objectives. In addition, the office maintains strong in country relationships with the European Utility Customers and various Governmental Departments (e.g. British Embassy offices). This approach allows INS to be fully prepared and to take account of “local conditions” in undertaking its business. These relationships have been built up over many years.
Having joined BNFL at its Springfields site in the mid 1980´s, and thereafter having worked on UK Customer business, John Mulkern has been involved with Continental European Utility Customer business on behalf of Sellafield since 1994. Rebecca Iven has been the Secretary to the INS Deutschland office for over 6 years.
The INS Deutschland office is based on the Königsallee in Düsseldorf where INS Deutschland has access to conference rooms as necessary for Customer Meetings.
