INS wins contract to support Dounreay

Dounreay

INS is pleased to announce that it has been contracted by Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL) to provide support with the preparation of a Transport Safety Case for the shipment of Dounreay Fast Reactor fuel from Dounreay.

INS will be preparing the criticality assessment, technical documents and a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) impact analysis, to support the assumptions used in the assessment. The work is progressing on a timescale to enable a package licence application to be submitted to the UK Department for Transport (DfT) at the end of March 2011.

INS has a dedicated team of package design, licensing and approval engineers who have a wealth of experience in successfully providing customers with bespoke solutions to their nuclear material packaging and transport needs.
