9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004 Re-Certification
Successful recertification to ISO 9001:2008 for INS
Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) has concluded the successful recertification audit of International Nuclear Services (INS) and Pacific Nuclear Transport Ltd (PNTL) management systems in the UK and Japan. LRQA will be recommending continued certification for a further three years.
The prime focus for the audit was to make the transition from the International Quality Management Systems standard ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008 and to reaffirm compliance with the Environmental Management Systems standard ISO 14001:2004.
All INS business locations in the UK have been audited during this process as well as the management systems of INS Japan KK in Tokyo.
The audit also included PNTL activities onboard MV Pacific Heron. The audit proved to be a very successful event, with the auditors confirming that INS and PNTL management systems, at all locations, continue to be effective and well maintained.
