5000th container of vitrified high level waste produced at Sellafield
Sellafield Ltd recently announced the production of the 5000th container of vitrified high level waste in the Vitrification plant at Sellafield. The plant converts liquid high level waste into a solid form by mixing it with glass (a process known as vitrification).
